31. Decisions made by the Lead Member on 31 October 2022
31.1 The Lead Member approved as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 31 October 2022.
32. Disclosure of interests
32.1 Councillor Carl Maynard declared a personal non prejudicial interest stating he is an elected Member of Rother District Council.
32.2 Councillor Johanna Howell declared a personal non prejudicial interest stating she is an elected Member of Wealden District Council.
32.3 Councillor John Unger declared a personal non prejudicial interest for item 4 stating that a relative administers the fund on behalf of a Local Authority.

34.1 Copies of the reports referred to below are included in the minute book.
35. Household Support Fund
35.1 The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Adult Social Care and Health regarding the proposed use of the Household Support Fund, to provide support to households with pensioners, households with a disabled person and other vulnerable households between 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024.
DECISIONS
35.2 The Lead Member RESOLVED to:
1) approve the proposed use of £1,844,500 of the Household Support Fund, to provide support to households with pensioners, households with a disabled person and other vulnerable households between 1 April – 31 March 2024; and
2) delegate to the Director of Adult Social Care and Health authority to take all actions necessary to implement the scheme.
REASONS
35.3 The scheme provides a further opportunity to extend the support to households with pensioners, households with a disabled person and other vulnerable households within East Sussex who are experiencing financial challenges.
36. Market Sustainability Plan
36.1 The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Adult Social Care and Health regarding the Market Sustainability Plan.
DECISIONS
36.2 The Lead Member RESOLVED to agree the draft of the final Market Sustainability Plan attached at Appendix 1 of the report.
REASONS
36.3 The Department of Health and Social Care requires Local Authorities with responsibility for Adult Social Care services to submit and publish a Market Sustainability Plan.
